Pricing and charges

What the work costs.

How much does marine electrical work cost?

Labour is $120 + GST per hour. The first hour is $180 + GST. Materials are charged at retail, and travel is charged in addition to labour and materials.

The exact cost depends on the work, access to the vessel and the parts required. Maritime Electrical will discuss the likely approach before work is booked.

Do you charge for quotes?

Quotes are free. Fault-finding or repair work is charged.

What are the travel charges?

Travel is charged in addition to labour and materials. The applicable travel charge is confirmed as part of the job details.

How are materials charged?

Materials are charged at retail and are additional to labour and travel.

Requesting a visit

How to arrange the work.

Where are you based and where do you work?

Maritime Electrical is based at Gulf Harbour and provides mobile dockside service around Auckland.

What information should I include in an enquiry?

Helpful details include:

  • Your name and phone number.
  • The marina or berth location.
  • The vessel type and approximate length.
  • What you have noticed or would like changed.
  • Any preferred timing.

You do not need to know every technical detail. "Not sure" is a useful answer.

Can I request a preferred visit date?

Yes. A preferred date helps with planning, but it is a request only. The visit is confirmed after the details have been discussed.
